About

Just me, Jake.

I am a sole trader in Boston, Lincolnshire. I build every website myself, and this is why I am doing it for communities.

Good local groups should not go without a good website just because they run on volunteers and small budgets.

I am Jake Wells. I build simple, effective websites for small businesses through JW Business Websites, and for churches and community groups. There is no team, no account manager and no handing your site to someone else. When you get in touch, you are talking to the person who builds it.

Over and over I meet the same two groups of people. There are village halls, clubs and classes that need a proper website and cannot easily pay for one. And there are local people and businesses who would happily help their community if there were a simple way to do it. JW Supporting Communities brings those two together.

How it is funded, plainly. A sponsor's £20 a month pays for the website to be built, hosted and kept up to date, and that is how I earn a living from this work. That is why it is a sponsorship rather than a charitable donation, and why I am not a charity. The group gets a free website, the sponsor gets a visible credit, and I am paid for real work.

How it stays honest. Sponsors have no say over what a group publishes. Credits are plain and factual. I will tell you exactly what your money covers, and if something changes, I will say so.

Want to talk it through?

I would be glad to hear from you, whether you want to sponsor, or your group could use a website.
