No. It is a sponsorship. JW Supporting Communities is a small business run by one person, not a charity, so Gift Aid does not apply. Your monthly amount pays for a community website to be built, hosted and kept up to date.

It pays for the service: hosting, the weekly update round where I make and publish a group's changes, and keeping the site running. The community receives all of that free while a sponsor covers it. It is not passed to the group as cash.

No. Sponsors can stop at any time and communities can leave at any time with reasonable notice. Details are in the terms.

The community's site stays live for three months while I look for a new sponsor, so a change on the sponsor's side never means a site disappears overnight.

A community's website costs £20 a month. The community can put in whatever it chooses, including nothing, and sponsors cover the rest, whether that is one sponsor or several. When the total reaches £20 the site is fully funded. For example, £5 from the community, £10 from a local business and £5 from a neighbour.

By card, through Stripe, as a monthly subscription. Once we have agreed which community you are supporting, I send you a secure link to set it up.

A plain "Supported by" credit on the community's website with your business name and a link, so local people see who is backing their group. There are no adverts and no banners.

Yes. Each community website is a separate £20 a month sponsorship, so you can back as many as you like.

Yes. Individuals can be credited by name, by first name only, or not at all.

Yes. Neighbours, friends or a few local businesses can split the cost. I credit everyone who chips in. Tell me when you get in touch.

Yes. Tell me which group you would like to back and I will get in touch with them. If you are not sure, you can sponsor the next community on the waiting list.

Village halls, clubs and societies, charities and voluntary groups, classes, and other community groups. Small local businesses can apply too, and priority goes to community-style businesses that serve and support their local area.

Nothing while a sponsor covers your site. If you would like to contribute something, that lowers what your sponsor pays, but it is entirely optional.

You send me one batch of changes a week, such as news, events and photos, by the end of Tuesday. I make the changes and publish them between Wednesday and Friday that week. Anything sent later waits for next week's round. Corrections to my own mistakes are always free and do not count as a round.

Yes. Your words, photos and logo belong to your group. You are responsible for making sure you have permission to publish them, particularly photos of children or vulnerable people.

It depends on sponsors coming forward. The first three sites are being built free as a proof of concept, and after that groups are matched with sponsors as they join. I will always tell you where you are in the queue.
